Maybe you’re lucky enough to be able to come in person to Portobello Road in London’s Notting Hill. Here’s a place where for fifty years the García family have catered to ex-pat Spaniards and native Londoners alike in an atmosphere without equal outside Spain.

We’ve gathered together a range of uniquely Spanish things. Foods, wines, toiletries, utensils… more or less anything a local shop in any town in Spain would have. Some essential, some surprising… everything you could want to prepare real tapas or cook a full Spanish meal at home.

Before or after your visit why not sit in one of the many local Spanish eateries. While away some moments over a proper Spanish coffee, some chocolate and churros or a few tapas with a beer or a brandy. Be inspired by the tastes and atmosphere. All the ingredients are there to take home with you afterwards.

Olives, cheeses, Serrano ham, chorizo, pickles, preserves… The delicatessen counter will bombard your senses. The range of different paella rices is staggering. The dried beans, lentils and chick peas are second to none. Tins and jars of fish, meats, vegetables, herbs and spices.

Car Parking: Sunday is the best day to come by car and you should be able to park pretty close or even right outside. Monday to Friday it will be possible to find a short stay parking bay somewhere in the vicinity, sometimes closer, sometimes further. Saturday is probably not a good day to come by car as the Portobello Street Market will be on.
